Lag Screws & Lag Screw Shields
November 14, 2017
Lag Screws, also known as Lag Bolts, feature a hex head with coarse threads and a sharp point. Generally used in wood, we offer steel / zinc, steel / galvanized, and stainless steel. High profile and hex flange options also available. Sometimes used with lag screw shields.
Lag Screw Shields, also known as lag screw expansion shields, consist of two semi-cylindrical sections which are internally threaded. As a lag screw is tightened, the shield expands. The ribbed outer surface then resists backing out of the hole into which it has been inserted.
