RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, Conflict Materials Statement 11/2024

Currently more than 95% of parts supplied by Fastener SuperStore are RoHS compliant. Items certified as RoHS Compliant are REACH, 3TG ,RoHS, RoHS II (2) and RoHS 3 Compliant meaning that they do not contain Lead, Cadmium, PBB, PBDE, DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP or Hexavalent Chromium. Additionally, they have not come into contact with Mercury or Mercury Compounds during manufacturing or subsequent processing. All products that were previously RoHS complaint would also be complaint under Directive 2015/863/EU RoHS 3.

To ensure RoHS compliant parts are shipped, customers should notify Fastener SuperStore of the requirement when the order is placed. RoHS Certificates of Conformance can be accessed online after shipment, free of charge, on our website in the customer portal.

Most non-RoHS compliant stock can be re-plated to RoHS compliance upon request, at no additional charge.

With regards to REACH and SVHC, substances of very high concern, we rely on upstream manufacturers of chemicals to register with ECHA. Our fasteners are considered “articles” and do not contain nor have knowingly come in contact with any of the REACH substances of very high concern. The current number of substances on the candidate list is 241. This list was last updated on 06/27/2024.

Regarding California Prop 65, our RoHS Compliant products do not contain and are not likely to expose individuals to any of these listed chemicals. Effective August 31, 2018 any new receipt of products that may be identified as harmful under the California Prop 65 will be labeled appropriately. This list was updated on 12/29/2023. The parts we supply are Conflict Free. They are not manufactured with any "conflict materials", tantalum, tin, tungsten or gold (commonly referred to as 3TG), from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries (the "Covered Countries").

Our parts are following POP’s Regulation and do not contain nor have knowingly come into contact with any of the substances subject to prohibitions listed in the annexes to regulation (EU) 2019/1021 and amendments.

Our parts do not contain nor have knowingly come into contact with any of the PFAS chemicals or that of the current TSCA listings (02-01-2023)

Additionally, our parts do not originate or incorporate steel or iron from Russia thus complying with the following regulations.

• Annex XVII, as per article 3g of EU Council regulation No 833/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilizing the situation on Ukraine and Schedule 3B,
• Regulation 461A and 461B of the (UK) Russia Sanctions Regulations.

Claims against Fastener Superstore, Inc. shall be limited to a refund or credit for the price billed or paid for improper merchandise. Seller shall not be responsible for buyer's manufacturing costs, labor, alternate purchases, extra freight, replating, plating, lost profit, good will, recall costs, or other incidental or consequential damages.
